Solve equations with one operation. New numbers every time!

One-step equations are the foundation of algebra. The goal is to get the variable (x) alone on one side of the equation.
Whatever you do to one side, you must do to the other side. This keeps the equation balanced.
Example 1: Solve x + 7 = 12
Subtract 7 from both sides: x = 12 - 7 = 5
Example 2: Solve 4x = 20
Divide both sides by 4: x = 20 รท 4 = 5
