Add the coefficients (the numbers in front) while keeping the variable part the same.
Example: Solve 2x + 5x + 4 = 25
Step 1: Combine 2x + 5x → 7x + 4 = 25
Step 2: Subtract 4 → 7x = 21
Step 3: Divide by 7 → x = 3
